Systems World

The world about us can be looked at in a variety of ways. One way is

to see the world as made up from many interacting systems: weather, societal, economic, ecological, floral, faun-al, tectonic plate, oceanic,

and so on. This is very much a connected view of the world: nothing is isolated and totally independent; everything is part of something

bigger, and everything comprises many interacting parts - subsystems.

So, what can you find here? Well, there are a number of sections to the site, as you can see at the top of the page... but in brief, we have:

  1. Systems

  2. Ancient Egypt - a passion of mine - but with a systems slant

  3. Command & Control Systems

  4. Royal Air Force (my life and times)

  5. Policing - a systems view of policing in a democracy

Oh! and you can see my CV/resume, too, and there is a list of my various books and how to find them. They are mostly on systems engineering, although there are some on Ancient Egypt and one on Complexity...

Welcome to the World of Systems

This site was set up originally for students of systems and systems engineering, to help them with their studies and research.

You may, therefore, find it fairly serious-minded.

But then, as someone famous once said: ‘true happiness is to be found in total absorption.’
